Académie Musicale Philippe Jaroussky

Sofronie is supporting the work of this music academy located in the new concert hall “La Seine Musicale” in the suburbs of Paris, Boulogne-Billancourt.

Founder and President, Philippe Jaroussky has brought musical opportunity to a group of young people, many from disadvantaged backgrounds with no previous knowledge of playing an instrument, a chance to train and thrive in the academy.

The first cohort joined the “Mozart” programme in October 2017 and provided 23 children (7-12 years old) and 25 young adults (18-25 years old) already virtuosos to gain support to progress to a professional career.

Since then, came the “Vivaldi”, "Ravel" and now 'Beethoven" programmes bringing each year 50 more youngsters, who continue to nurture musical talent for the future.
