Sofronie Foundation is guided by the experience and knowledge of our board that currently convenes at least 4 times per year to approve funding and discuss progress of work funded.
In addition many board members attend events and support the Foundation Director in review and consideration of current and future working partnerships.

Corinne Vigreux-Goddijn
Co-Founder

Corinne Vigreux, co-founder of TomTom, is a pioneer in the European tech ecosystem.
As one of the leaders behind one of Europe's first tech unicorns, she played a pivotal role in transforming TomTom from a global consumer brand into a leader in digital maps and navigation.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Corinne is the founder of Codam, an innovative software college, and the Sofronie philanthropic foundation, both dedicated to fostering social mobility through education. She is also a member of the supervisory board of Pathé.
Named among Forbes' top 50 women in tech, Corinne is an Officier de la Légion d’Honneur and of the Order of Orange-Nassau.In January 2026, she received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Amsterdam.

Harold Goddijn
Trustee

Harold Goddijn was first appointed to the TomTom Supervisory Board in April 2026. His current term runs until 2030.
Harold was the Chief Executive Officer of TomTom and a member of its Management Board from May 2005 to April 2026. He is an entrepreneur and innovator who co-founded TomTom in 1991, having previously founded Psion Netherlands BV in 1989 as a joint venture with Psion Plc.
Under his leadership, TomTom created the easy-to-use navigation device, one of the most influential inventions of all time. Since then, the company has grown from a start-up into the world’s leading location technology specialist, shaping mobility with highly accurate maps, navigation software, real-time traffic and services.
Through Harold’s vision and leadership, TomTom expanded its portfolio to include industry-leading location-based products, embedded automotive navigation solutions, and innovative personal navigation devices and applications. His contributions continue to shape the future of mobility with the most innovative technologies to improve driving today and completely change it tomorrow.
Harold was induced into the Automotive Hall of Fame and for eight years has been an advisor to the Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Coolblue from 2016 until 2024.

Boris Walbaum
Trustee

After an early career in Government and at McKinsey, Boris has been leading a dual career as Co-founder of Article 1, a leading NGO in equal access to higher education in Europe and as Founder of Dual Conseil, a leading strategy consultancy in the field of higher education.
He also founded the Forward College, a groundbreaking Higher Education Institution that aims to realign learning with the requirements of tomorrow's top jobs, students' aspirations and our need for change. It is designed for bright students who wish to go beyond academic excellence and also develop their practical, technological, social and emotional intelligences.
With Forward College, Boris wants to participate in reinventing a higher education that nurtures the positive leadership we urgently need. -
Ajay Soni

Ajay has a background in Investment Structuring and Management, Financial modelling, Governance and Reporting across Real Estate, Private Equity and Structured Credit asset classes. He is CFO at Rinkelberg Capital.

Taylor Young
Trustee

Taylor is a former tech lead at Palantir and the co-founder of Fern Labs, an agentic AI startup dedicated to pioneering, experimenting, and building AI systems that drive meaningful impact.
Fascinated by technology and the sciences from an early age, Taylor pursued a degree in Computer Science at Cambridge University before joining Palantir. In late 2024, Taylor left Palantir to help found Fern Labs and the team recently joined Poolside to continue developing their product.
