Established in 2020 to provide loans for computer software training for those seeking to improve their employment prospects and secure work. Eligible students who would otherwise not have the means to fund their training can select courses at private reputable computer software training institutions which provide a high level of learning and employment support. Eligibility is determined by an independent committee and focuses on underrepresented groups without access to financial assistance. As one of their first supporters TechmeUp has provided loans of over EUR300,000 of which 50% have been allocated to women. An encouraging statistic in improving the balance of women in technical positions.
The tech industry provides an enormous variety of digital roles and TechmeUp can offer a means of acquiring those skills to work as a UX designer or Data Analyst. Paying back the loan once in employment allows someone else the opportunity to a new career.
