Stichting Move is a Dutch charity that brings together children from underprivileged neighbourhoods with participating university students to find ways to improve their communities and make them better places to live.
Children first meet up with participating university students who they can talk to and share ideas for projects that they think would improve their community. The university students then help to organise these projects, making the ideas a reality. These types of projects help to strengthen the bond between community members by bringing them together with one common goal – that of making their neighbourhoods a better place to live.
Stichting Move has helped 4,032 children and 1008 students to launch 168 community projects in 7 cities across the Netherlands.
Sofronie Foundation supports Stichting Move so that it can continue to give children the opportunity to improve their neighbourhoods and change them for the better.
